Marlin Sub Aqua Club

A member of Comhairle Fó Thuinn (Irish Underwater Council), the Marlin SAC operates from the Clondalkin Community Sports Centre in West Dublin. The club was established in 1980 and has flourished since. The club consists of instructors and divers with a wide range of skills and qualifications from Monitor *** to trainee diver and junior snorkelers. The club provides training for all levels of diving and takes in new members every year. Membership fluctuates but usually consists of an average of thirty five members.

There are a variety of interests among the membership but in the main they can be listed as follows:

• Wreck diving and hunting.
• Underwater archaeology. Several of our members hold qualifications.
• Annual warm water diving and adventure holidays.
• Advancement to higher grades and introduction to technical diving.
